Privacy Policy

Effective September 29, 2026

The short version: Giftify stores only what it needs to connect to your Shopify store. Your gift settings live inside your own store. We don't collect, store or sell your customers' personal information, and we don't track shoppers.

This policy explains how Giftify: Tiered Free Gifts ("Giftify", "the App", "we", "us"), built and maintained by BlinkEStudio, handles information when a Shopify merchant ("you") installs and uses the App.

1. Information we collect

When you install the App

Installing Giftify lets us access certain information from your Shopify store through the Shopify API. We store only what the App needs to work:

Your store name and myshopify.com domain
An access token issued by Shopify, so the App can act with the permissions you approved
Where Shopify provides it, the name and email address of the staff account that installed or uses the App

Settings you create

Your gift tiers, including conditions, goals, selected collections and gift products, are saved in your own Shopify store as metafields and as Shopify automatic discounts.

Your customers

Giftify does not collect, store or sell personal information about your customers. On your storefront, the App's script reads the current cart in the shopper's browser only to decide whether a gift should be added or removed. Cart contents are not sent to or stored on our servers. The App sets no tracking cookies and uses no advertising or analytics trackers on your storefront.

2. How we use information

To run the App: creating and updating your discounts and adding or removing gifts in the cart
To authenticate your store and keep the App secure
To answer support requests you send us
To tell you about important changes to the App or this policy

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Sharing

We share information only with the service providers needed to run the App, and only as far as necessary:

Shopify, which hosts your store and processes all discounts and orders
Our cloud hosting provider, which runs the App's server and database under confidentiality and security obligations

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, property or safety.

4. Retention and deletion

We keep your store information while the App is installed. After you uninstall, Shopify sends us a shop data erasure request, and we delete your store's information from our systems within 30 days of receiving it. Tier settings and discounts inside your Shopify store can be removed by you at any time from your Shopify admin.

We respond to all of Shopify's mandatory privacy requests: customer data requests, customer data erasure and shop data erasure. Because Giftify stores no customer personal information, customer requests normally require no data to be returned or deleted, but we confirm and respond to every one.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR in Europe and the CCPA in California, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. Email giftifyapp.help@gmail.com to make a request. Your customers can contact you, and you can forward their requests to us where needed.

Information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our hosting provider operates.

6. Security

All data between your store, Shopify and the App travels over encrypted HTTPS connections. Access tokens are stored securely and used only to perform the App's functions.

7. Children

The App is made for businesses and is not directed at children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App changes or for legal reasons. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
